Roach In My Throat

I woke up this morning and felt a lump in my throat. Somehoe the fist thing that came to mind was that a roach was lodged in there. It felt kindda gtritty although it wasnt moving. i dunno what a cockroach in one's throat will feel like but i almost puked at the thought of it.

I dunno why my mind jumped to the "roach in the throat" possbility but it was a bit frightening. i kept of coming up with these scenarios in my head of how a roach could get into my mouth whiles i was sleeping. And how it could get stuck in there. Why wouldnt it run away if it felt me moving my lips. Blergh. I need to sleep better... or something.

Oh yeah.... in an unrelated... thing, i'm taking a week out of work and going all over the place. The idea was that Abe and I would go to France this summer but my need for a visa and the French embassy's unwillingness to give me a time-frame that a visa application will go thur, i decided against buying tickets... paying for accomodation and finding out that it'd take say 6 weeks to process a visa.

I dont think i'll be going anywhere within the next two years. I hate seeing Ghana listed in the "countries requiring visas to enter [blah]" section always. What do we gotta do to be able to just cross borders without having people prodding and poking us with ummm... cattle prods.

Yeah so we settled for a good ol' UK break. We're spending 2 days in Glasgow, 2 days in Edinburgh and finally 4 days in Manchester. The first 4 days are just Abe and I then when we get to Manchester we'll go see a few people. Namely, Abe's grandmother, Nicola and Moinjama. We're staying at Moinjama's for those four days. She's a friend I've known from Ghana who moved to the UK a year before I did. She's originally from Liberia and moved to Ghana in 1993? when the war broke out. I havent seen her in almost a year though because i didnt take my annual December journey to visit.

Hopefully we'll get Nic to stop doing what the voices tell her and open up to a camera more. Does anyone know of any places to visit in Glasgow and Edinburgh? I dont even know exactly where we're staling because i've just let Abe do all the planing and stuff.

Anyway... i d... forget it i'm done. See y'all later.
