Oh My God, They Killed Palmer!

Well, thats what it looked like in the final episode of the second season of 24. They left David Palmer (renewed President), suffering from some super-bacterial infection caught from last year's assassinator in a seemingly friendly handshake after his own speech attempting to cover his cabinet's disloyalty towards him over the past few hours. Remember last year when they killed off Terri.. ?

By the way, its Abeyna, not your neglectful author, Faf, who has committed himself to a lifetime of praise at Carphone Warehouse. I know he hasn't updated in what seems like months now.. but what else can I say, but.. be patient. I'm sure he'll have way more to say when he starts uni at Kingston next month.

Wasaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaap?!

Ok lemme give you the wassap. I've been busy being busy for the past few months.. y'all know that already but over the last few weeks i've been busy doing other things.

Contrary to what i might've led you to belive if earlier "excuse-entries" not all of what i've been doing has got to do with starting Uni in September - even though i am.

I've got a firm date for when uni starts. I go for the induction on 21/09/2003... shitty day for an induction considering it's a Sunday. Then i start the following day.

Everything at work has almost been finalised but i havent got a new figure from them. Since i'll be working less hours as a student... i'm hoping i could earn at least the same amount as i've been earning over the past 6months but for working lesser hours... i'm just hoping.

Anyway... i've spent the last 2weeks or so hacking up my X-box and installing a mod-chip. To the uninitiated...

An Xbox is almost a PC in that it's got a hard-drive and enough things to actually convert it to a PC.

.. But and Xbox will only "run and install" prgrans and disks signed by Microsoft. That is, you cannot make copies of games and play them nor could you play VCDs and other dodgy stuff on them.

A mod-chip is a piece of hardware that sits on the Xbox's motherboard and tells it to run everything and anything it can.

So now i can play GameBoy Advance games, SNES Games, Arcade stuff... mostly games from the 80s and 90s... plus i can actually make backups of my games and keep the original safe (Yeah right!)...

I've got an FTP server running off the Xbox and it's hooked up to my PC so it's all good.

I'm getting broadband installed at home in mid September so I'll be paying more attention to the site but dont bank on it.

Umm... oh yeah, The computers at work were infected with a virus yesterday and i ended up doing nothing all day but i got to see Abe later in the day. We walked around town a bit and i finally took her home.

It's coming up to a year since we first met.... any ideas on what to do for a first anniversary?

Cant think of any more single-sentences to tell you what i've been up to so that's your fix for now.... dont go into withdrawal if i'm away for long again.
