On Marriage and Exes

Just got off the phone with Linda (my first girlfriend -- read "My Past" for more info)... The phone didnt get answered quickly and when it was, it was there was this loud music in the background.

She was all laughing and recognised my voice instanlty. We said out hello... well what could say over the music and i asked what she was up to...

She was getting engaged. For those that are wondering engagments in Ghana require a full blown party and i've seems some precede a wedding my a few days. Somehow in her case, the guy isnt even around. He's in the US, but that dont stop a party does it?

Yup so my first girlfriend is almost there. Makes me feel so old! Lol.. i know she's amlost 2 years older than me but still it's scaring me now.

I've been saying for almost a year now how it freaks me out that a lot of my friends are getting married or are planing it. And before you say "oh the girls always get married earlier" ... i've got about 4 male friends that are getting married soonish or are already.

I dont think i'm ready to be going out clubbing with say... "Max and his wife" .... it sounds.. sorta odd!

When i went to Ghana for instance i hung out with Linda for a coupla days. Well she was ouside the country initially so i didnt get to see her till i was almost coming back...

But i s'pose the next time i see her she'll be someone's wife so i'll have to steer clear of her.

Hmm... I dunno what Abe will say about this, but I'm currently not very comfortable with the idea of being married and having a wife.. y'know the works. Or maybe it's because my friends are all 2 years or older than me.

I s'pose in 2 years I'll also hear the call of the..... whatever it is.

I say take your time...the call of the whatever-it-is can't be hurried anyho. About the shaving thing, sorry about your razor bumps. Better luck next time.

Since Marriage and babies are always on my mind- An ex just sent me pictures of his wife and their 3 month old baby!! Imagine my "fill in the blanks"- I have mulled over such issues a lot.

There is a theory and I have seen it proved often times that Guys, unlike girls, always know if they have found the one. A guy will date for 3 yrs, break up and then in 3 months be married to a woman he just met and began dating 2 months ago ( I am allowing 1 month for grieving and for going on a few random dates).
Why? Cos guys feel very intensely once every decade or so... Girls on the other hand fall in love a few times and so cannot really tell if they have found the "one" or if the guy staring back at them making them feel butterflies is just like the one last year who made them feel butterflies but turned out to be a slut and a dog...

Girls, settle and just give up on finding the one more often and I guess it is what soceity do to us....
ok summary, whatever FAf, you'll get married when u realize there is particular girl you can't get out of your head... and it has nothing to do with a boner in ya pants.

we should console each other on how friends, and exes have left us behind.. .*sob*

Don't be pressured. Enjoy yourself while you still can and stay away from baby mama drama!! Oh and if you ever do decide it's time, call me and I'll talk you out of it!
