512mb to 512mb graphics one is ATI one is Nvida(Nvida is developing the a N70 for the Ps3. Also the PS3 can use direct X and the cell prossecor will be more adaptable so expect a even more powerfull Ps4 around the X-box 3.

The Cell prossecor is the future of technology as a whole, your Tv will run faster than your PC? Sony is attacking M$ and this time they have gone to amazing lengths to give themslelves the edge, and there is no way a pentuim can stand up to a cell. So PC will make way for super computer's and if it happens it;s only over due and welcom.

nice math, but you got it wrong. These are the official xbox.com stats for the processor:

* Three symmetrical cores running at 3.2 GHz each
* Two hardware threads per core; six hardware threads total
* VMX-128 vector unit per core; three total
* 128 VMX-128 registers per hardware thread
* 1 MB L2 cache

so 3 cores, 3.2 each, thats 9.6, much more than your 4 for the ps3. Do the math again.

sorry but your all wrong. they're both going to be powerful, but it won't mean a thing. timing, games, marketting, online... thats going to determine who comes out on top. and daniel, pentium doesn't have anything to do with the xbox 360, its an ibm chip. and three cores doesn't mean you can triple the speed. when three engines are attached to a driveshaft does it go three times faster? no, but it is a hell of a lot more powerful.

I don't know which console will win, but one last thing must be clarified...

The PS3's Cell chip has 9 cores. Of course, the definition of a "core" can vary, but basically, one core acts as a gateway. That leaves 8 cores. One is being used for "redundancy." That leaves 7 cores. 7 is more than 3 cores. Does that mean the Cell is faster? In this particular case, probably.

Dude those 8 spes aren't cores.

Also the PS3 is running at 3.2 GHz.

The RSx is being developed by nividia for the ps3 not the n70.

although xbox360 has halo and all i still think ps3 is still better than xbox360 so as i say my ps3 can kick xbox360's butt sorry but the truth hurts

okay first of all it has been said many times before the ps3 will not be using all 8 cores at once it will be using like 2 and as far as game titles are going it looks as if the xbox 360 is going to get more game deals because it is gonna be the first next gen console out and game company's aint gonna wait like 6 months for a pile of shit to come out and on another note sony will be losing a shit load of profits and we could be looking at the next dreamcast scenario

so xbox has the game titles and its released sooner and it aint gonna go bankrupt and 3 cores that work and the ps3 has a bunch of cores that aint gonna be used and its gonna lose profits and you gotta wait like 6 months to get it hmmmm....... i now what console is gonna be the biggest flop

actually if you look closely at all the specs, the ps3 only outperforms the xbox 360 in it's cpu floating point; other than that it's either very close or the 360 wins, like for instance the xbox 360 has more general perpose processing power, a more powerfull gpu, and the list goes on. plus sony dont have any games i'd really want to play that wouldn't be on the 360, so for me in terms of games the 360 also wins hands down.

Oh yeah? Well, you can't drive and play on your xbox like I can on the PS3 little br- Mr.PSP. Ha!
