Ignorance is Bliss?

What do y'all think about that phrase, Ignorance is Bliss?

Its a time old statement with many implications, but do we agree with it? Is it best to lie in a pool of pseudo-hunkydoryism while blinded by the impending doom that surrounds you? I guess you may think that it is situation dependent.. you'd rather not know that puffing on those cancer sticks will put you at increased risk of a heart attack, or maybe you'd rather not know if the world was to end tomorrow and you couldn't do a damn thing about it.

or not?

I say that ignorance is bliss while you're ignorant, however retrospectively your innocence has been robbed and although you may feel relentlessly bitter about it, you would rather face the harsh light of realism than surf in a pseudobubble thats just waiting to burst..
