Ohhhhhh, FAF! I hesitated to comment at all here, but decided to seek input from other visitors. I am deeply troubled, saddened, surprised, and disappointed by the caption under the Arch of Independence! Discrimination by anyone, against anyone is nothing to be proud of! The terms freedom and justice have great meaning for all peoples who value their significance to all God's children. I can't believe you posted this, as your true sentiments. If it is a just meant as a "joke" or a way to solicit comments or Ghanaian support, my opinion is that it is neither funny, nor worthy of anyone's support, Ghanaian or otherwise. Everyone is entitled to their opinion, that is part of the meaning of freedom. This is only a small portion of mine on this subject. I could write volumes on what I feel about discrimination and prejudice. Maybe you will say, "Gee, lighten up,Eme" or that I misunderstood this caption in some way...Discrimination is something that I never take lightly, never find amusing, never tolerate from anyone, friend or foe. You are my friend FAF, and that means a lot to me. As such, I need to be honest and sincerely say I think this caption is, to say the least and to be respectful to you, a gross error in judgement for public display, for whatever reason. Sorry, FAF...but you struck a nerve on this one. Discrimination is so hurtful, so wrong, so damaging, so inhumane, and unfortunately still so much a part of today's society, that I feel any opportunity to speak against it must be taken...so I have. I anxiously await your serious reply. Still love your site, no " ". Sincerely, your friend, Eme.
"Gee, lighten up,Eme" it's just a joke!
Volunteer? I'd love to Faf but I don't even know what photoshop is.
Eme, you discriminate against discimination. Were you at the protest in DC on Sunday or will you be there on Monday? ;-)
Odobea,
Sorry, couldn't make it to D.C. Can't be in more than 1 place at a time ...for those interested, there is a choice of protesting going on. 1. U.S. policy in the Middle East. 2. U.S. policy in Latin America. 3. World Bank & International Monetary Fund. 4. Globalization and world greed. 5. Solidarity with Palestinians 6.Supporting U.S. policies. Oh,must mention, new law suits, 1. Slave ancestors and IRS. 2. School bus issue in Charlotte......Discriminate against discrimination, sounds like a statement out of a KKK handbook to me. Is it,Odobea? It's just a "joke", Odobea :). Hi,FAF...love your site, no " ".
Gee lighten up, eme.
As for it being a joke or not... its a yes and no. Webrings normally have a theme they go with... where you must either fall in a category to be part of.
there's... [i think this deserves a post of its own]
Hi FAF,
Ok,I concede :). Consider me "lightened up" and enlightened. Thanks, FAF. Love your site, no " ".
