Martin Bashir betrayed MJ, as Heather comments here[1]. After 8months and all the time you could see he was playing for the camera. Those snide remarks at the "shopping spree". The guy's got about a billion dollars. So what if he spends a million on junk? He does give.
As for the sleeping in bed with children thing... I probably wont do it myself, but then again he wrote Heal The World[2] and We Are The World[3]. He's just showing love as he says.
He blatantly lied about his plastic surgery.. but wouldnt you? How many lies have YOU told today? I'm on 3 already and i havent even had lunch yet. Give the guy a break.

actualy, no your wrong. He didnt lie about the plasic surgery. Martin bashir cut it out so it would look like that. if you live in the us you probably would have seen the real interview mj's cameras recorded. they showed it all. On the martin bashir interview they cut the question out so it looks like he said he just had two surgeries, that he could remember. But really he said too, then he said, no wait. and he started talking about how he burnt his hair on a pepsi comercial and they did things to him. so martin bashir is the liar, here.

When I saw the first interview - i knew that it had been edited - it was obvious - I know Bashir was 2-faced, but he wasn't the one who edited the documentry - so he's not entirely to blame. And Faf - I like your point about the lying! Asha - I know it was partly wrong of Martin but doesn't MJ say bout loving others so shouldnt we atleast give Martin a break?

I just saw the interview. It was pretty interesting. I think MJ is a real kind man. I mean so what he let's children sleep over, he was right that people are wrong to thin that it's always a sexual thing. I mean obviously he had a really really rough childhood eventhough he had fame and fortune. MJ definetaly deserves a break. How many people in the US haven't had (multiple) plastic surgeries? Anyway I just think he is a bit different than the average US citizen, but his ideas about peace and love are the things that mae him a good person.

Micheal is a caring, senstive and compassionate human being. These attributes are not present in many people and this is why many people misunderstand him. He genuinely does care about humanity - which he has shown through all of his charitable work, going so far as to open his home to others. Other stars would prefer to have no one in a 10 mile radius within their property. This is the reality of his kindness. His skin has changed color due to the skin disease Vintilago and yet people still assert that he creamed himself white. Wake up, leave well enough alone, and take a chill pill. The media (TV/mags/radio) is all lies and a money-making machine!

I do not condone Martin Bashir making a profit out of others people's misfortune. However, it is patently obvious that Michael Jackson is an extremely damaged person. He is addicted to plastic surgery and vitiligo does not just turn you white overnight (which is what he did). This is one of the many lies he has told gullible people like you all. I don't know if he sexually abused the boys in question but what I do know is that his bizarre behaviour and understanding of what is normal makes him unsuitable to be the carer of young children. Did you parents put a mask on you every time you went out? How do you think that will affect the kids in the future. He is not the only famous person in the world. Do others behave in such an bizarre manner? Perhaps when you are all grown up and have a family of your own, these things will make more sense to you.

Please. Michael Jackson is not Ghandi. His 'message' is buy my album/video/DVD. Martin Bashir is a journalist interviewing a jaded musician. Yes michael Jackson is eccentric, in the way that the north pole is a little chilly, however Martin Bashir was fair. In his summing up at the end of the interview Bashir noted how good MJ was with his kids but expressed concern for other aspects - that is his job. And the plastic surgery, yes the Pepsi thing made all the difference - only two ops and Pepsi hair care - come on!!! The recent accusations are to be tried in court, hopefully people will judge his guilt or innocence by the evidence not by their music purchases and juvenile associations.

Bashir's interview is nothing short of a modern day lynching. This man is the reality that racism does still exist, and the medias obsession with the success of the afrcan-american race. The medias conspiracy has killed a lot of our greats, including white one's too, The Kennedys, Princess Diana, Pac and Biggie, Malcolm MLK. It's all a conspiracy to undo the backlash that has inslaved us all to some exstent. The hatred will end on judgement day, there will be a price to pay no matter how successful or rich your deeds make. I'm sorry this world is so blind to the medias effect on peoples lives,Micheal won't give up and commit suiscide because of the accusations, because we as a community are praying for him. I have been a MJ fan from the beginning and have lost interest in him in the past 8 years but never lost respect. About his supposed color change, he didn’t go from black to white over night but his makeup did. As explained in the special"the footage you were never meant to see". His makeup artist explain his condition got so bad it was necessary to white out the black instead of blacking out the white(so he wasn't splotchy). I believe MJ isn't a bad person but maybe a bit jaded. Every thing I have ever seen of him he doesn’t seem like the person who would ever think of hurting a child, let alone he is uncomfortable to even swear...And about judgment day,(This in no way relates to MJ and I think he has worked his ass off since he was 5 years old and deserves what he has. This is in regard to the religious hate filled spew that was mentioned earlier, because hating a hater is no better) there is nothing wrong with hate it is just what you do with it e.g.; if you hare the rain you can either never go out when it is raining or make a better rain coat. The only thing I can say about Michael Jackson is that he is a performer and cannot survive outside the celebrity cocoon wrapped around him. Unfortunately this was his reality as a young child and carried disasterously into adulthood. However, that in NO WAY excuses his lifestyle and the blatant lies he tells. Adults that were abused as children are still adults and are treated as such. As an adult, responsibility for one's own actions becomes prevalent, regardless of past. In Michael Jackson's case, he is obviously not prepared to take on said responsibilty. The only thing he has ever known how to do is perform, put on a show.. so logically speaking can you take ANYTHING that comes out of his mouth as truth? I certainly don't think so. As someone earlier in this thread stated, he is merely a musician. A musical genius, I'd certainly go so far to say, but that in no way excuses such erradic behavior. Some advice for MJ.. Allow your career to flow naturally, stop forcing it into a billion different directions because you can't handle life without it. Sometimes it's better to fade away.
