How sure are the Americans that the statue they pulled down a coupla days ago wasnt that of a body double of Hussein?
Anyway... wasnt another statue pulled down some days before? If so why did they make so much a big deal about this one?

So far we've got two of him. One,in a bunker in one of his presidential palaces. The second is an underground bunker in what those of us would call a 'chop bar'. I understand some other body double has escaped thru the tunnels that links is bunkers to his home town. Russians are also being accused of hiding one in their mission in iraq.
Coalition forces would take them one after the other unless one of them would be wise to say "hey you guys i am not saddam".
I am hoping one of his doubles would not be providing himself as a suicide bomber; otherwise we would be sending too many husseins to the after-world. It would be historical if we can get one of them to stand trial for atrocity against humanity.
Lest i forget, they said one has slipped to syria. It was the one that planned joining his family in Damascus got killed on that fateful day when Swan dropped those three B-1B bombs. One man so much more souls!
Maybe this could account for all the civillian deaths, the U.S./U.K. forces probably mistake the average iraqi male with mustache as Saddam. Anyway, that first sentence cracked me up!!!

An about the statue... that has a mustache. Clearly that was a statue of one of his doubles if we're to go by the mustache/no-mustache analogy
Saddam wouldn't allow the statue of one of his doubles stand elegantly pointing to jerusalem in front of his presidential palace. If he'd done that, loyalist would have questioned his authority. Do not forget we are dealing with someone who was the world's worst dictator until now.
That line of reasoning alone gets coalition forces on board. They're sure they pulled the statue of the man himself down just like many of his other statues.
