Abe is on her way to New York sometime next week. Meanwhile i've started making my own plans to go somewhere (or not) in the summer. This is my current thinking and my options.

1. I can choose to visit Ghana

3. I can go shopping and visiting the USA.

3. Stay in London and get my driving lessons before the summer is over.

For option one: Yeah it'll be great but the cost is prohibitive. I'm looking at spending over close to £1500 (if not more) by the time i'm done. This is really off-putting. Yeah so i havent been in Ghana for 4 years but it's not like there's some yearning in me to go back. Especially if it'll cost that much.

Option Two: This seems like the most likey... but then there's this little annoying detail of getting a visa. I hate queues. I hate waiting around. I like to keep busy. It such a hassle getting a visa to go anywhere. Yeah so i have a few months heads up and i can secure the visa even if i dont end up going but i'm hard-pressed for time but if need be... i suppose i'll find time to get the visa.

Option Three: Is the least appealing... i keep thiknig that i should get a driving licence. But then i also keep thinking that i'm not ready for a car and that if i do get a licence i WILL go for one just for its sake... and then have all the costs that come with it.

You'll see the Faf Decision making mechanism at work over the next few weeks so you'll know when i decide what i decide..

Anyone got anything to say that may sway me to a specific option?

I'm not in the mood to persuade and will not pretend to do so. But I vote for option one. A webmester of a gh site should definitely visit Ghana and see issues on the ground. Morever, I bit you'll have more than enough info to spice up the site. Like Acadamy being banned from interco for a year 'cos as usual they fought over .... And this year is a particularly hot year so you'll have a particularly juicy stay. Wishing you all the best.

Did you get a diary or you bought an organiser to keep you on track?

my girlfriend got me a diary.

This site is not a gh site though... my audience ranges from all the way down-south New Zealand... thru to Finland.

Then there are audiences from the expected places... Ghana, England and the US & Canada.

Funny thing is that even though the site is slowed down... said people continue to visit as the logs show.

Great. All the same, my vote still remains with option one. Let's see if I don't get people to back me.

VOTE FOR OPTION ONE!

people visit on the slight chance that u have posted and leave disappointed each time.

I personally vote for option 2.
Ghana is a little dull and all that stuff- especially over summer since everyone travels elsewhere.
The US is lots of fun summer time- plus the visas don't take that long... please bite the bullet and stand in line for a few hours but think of the pleasures to come!!

the race is still tight... but canada? that isnt on the list. and its because if i turned up there, i wudnt have anywhere to stay apart from a hotel... which will probably cost too much.

so yeah lets stick to the three on the list.

Come on guys, option one is the best. Most Ghanaians don't have that much money to spend vacationing and who said there's no fun in Ghana. There are bunches of fun, you just have to look for them.

I still stick with option one:-)

Come to the US. The summer months flourishes with free concerts (from symphony, jazz, R&B, reggae, country, etc.) Lots of arts exhibits, street fairs, sports..you name it..the big apple has it. Plus, you get a good exchange on the Pound and you can find good deals on clothing, food, etc. See you in N.Y.
