The heating in my house has not been working for the past 5 days... or so. Thing is i couldnt really be sure, because it's almost un-noticeable until you try to have a wash. Then you realise you have to go boil some water in the kettle.
Another way to notice is when doing the washing up. But i'm guilty; i dont do it often (even though my mom is screaming at me to wash my plate even before i'd finished with the last morsel of food). On those rare occasions when i really cant put up with the shouting... i'll do the washing up but i have this tendency to use only cold water.
It's really odd, cos the way i'm thinking we're paying so much for heating when it probably isnt necessary half of the time. I dont live alone, otherwise, i'd have tried living like this for a month just to see how much i could save.
It's not summer yet, so to be able to live like is really not what you expect. We probably pay more for heating in Summer than we would pay if the heating isnt fixed for a month.
On an unrelated related matter at work, it seems someone things i should be delving deeper into the Projects departments testing phase of any new systems they're gonna put out. Sure they'll be getting a bargain because this will be one tester that knows the frontend pterry well.
I've been writing scripts and designing processes for the frontend for the past year plus i dont come for an extra fee. The good out of all that for me is that, whiles my mates at uni are dealing with theoretical problems with businesses, i'm getting the real deal.
You know you're in with the big fish when they let you have a look at what's under the hood.
Aint life SO fair? Well, it's been with me for a while now... mostly.

I can't wait to live on my own and not turn on the heat for nights on end cos i'll be kept warm by the continuous caresses of a lover........
Yeah shagging!!!
How utterly romantic........................... :-)
Wheeeeeeeeeeeeee
In my experience it realy depends on the type of house your in. In a flat its prety easy to stay warm without so much heating because you have the other ocupents heating their flats above and below you. However I currently rent an atic room in an old house and its FREEZING, although the heat should e rising from the rooms below it all escapes through the un-insulated roof. Believe me its horrible! The land lord bizarely decides to turn the heating on during the day and off in the night (when you most need it), there have been numerous occasions where the cold has actualy woken me. Not so romantic.
(another boring posting from me).
I'd sacrifice food for warmth.
